Learning Options for Moberly students in 2020
Moberly School District will be offering an online version of courses for K-12 students who cannot attend in seat due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We want to make sure to offer a quality opportunity for students who are unable to join us in seat as we head back to school in August.
The new “Moberly Online” learning programs will differ depending on grade levels, but students will be working on the same curriculum under the same expectations as far as assignments, assessments, and attendance in each grade. In high school, the district will not be able to offer as many online course options as we would for students attending in person. For example, there will be no Career and Technical Education courses or band options. The district will, however, provide a full schedule that allows students the opportunity to meet all graduation requirements through online learning and even be able to offer online dual credit classes to students who are interested. Attendance will be monitored, and all students must be available to log on daily during class time and work with their teachers and classmates who are also working online. Students enrolling in online learning will not be eligible to participate in extracurricular or co-curricular activities.
In summary, "Moberly Online" will be much different than the eLearning of last spring. Next week, you will receive an email with a link to the enrollment form to select which learning option you choose for your child/ren. Enrollment for either option (online or in-seat classes) will be a semester-long commitment.
If you have any questions about enrollment or registration, the school offices will reopen on Wednesday, August 5th.
