Dear Parents and Guardians,
I hope this letter finds you well. As we work together to create a safe and positive environment for our students, we would like to remind you of important policies regarding drug and alcohol use.
Please be aware that being under the influence of drugs or alcohol on school property is strictly prohibited. (Board Policies AH & KK) This includes all school events, whether held during or outside of regular school hours. These rules are in place to ensure the safety and well-being of all students, staff, and visitors on campus.
Additionally, we would like to remind everyone that driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal. (RSMo Section XIV Section 2) While marijuana may be legal in certain circumstances, it remains unsafe and unlawful to drive while impaired. We urge all parents and guardians to be mindful of this law and to set a positive example for our students.
