Moberly, MO – December 11, 2024 – Mr. Donndre Smith has been selected as the new Director of ACES, Moberly School District’s Alternative Center for Educational Success. Mr. Smith will assume his new role with the Moberly School District on August 1, 2025.
Mr. Smith brings a wealth of experience from his most recent position as Dean of Students at Battle High School and a dedicated career in education that includes teaching. With four years of experience in special education and prior roles within the Columbia Public School District as a Behavior Interventionist and Home-School Communicator, Donndre Smith has consistently focused on creating equitable and inclusive opportunities for all students. As an aspiring administrator, Donndre is passionate about developing innovative programs that address diverse learning needs and inspire students to achieve their goals.
When asked about his leadership vision, Mr. Smith shared, “As a leader, I will emphasize collaboration, relationship-building, and student-centered strategies to support academic and personal success. With a deep commitment to fostering resilience and growth, I am excited to lead the Alternative Center for Educational Success into a new era of excellence.”
Assistant Superintendent Dr. Erin Oligschlaeger added, “Mr. Smith comes to us with a vast knowledge of social-emotional learning that we know will benefit the students and staff at ACES and across the district. His background in special education and the high school setting will be tremendous assets for the Moberly community.”
